About the Department
Chapra Bangaljhi Mahavidyalaya started its journey in 2001. Philosophy was introduced in 2009 initially with general course. Following the growing interest of students in philosophy, honor course in philosophy was introduced later in 2013-14 academic year under the sole guidance and responsibility of Mr. Safikul Islam, Sri Barun Ghosh and Sri Sujit Adhikary were appointed later on to share the responsible of the department. The intake capacity of philosophy honors course was 25 initially, currently the capacity is 40. Students from the department of philosophy have been able to secure good result in university examination and thus have held the esteem of this college high. Students of philosophy honours of this department secure admission regular post graduation course. Many of them have achieved b.ed. Degree and preparing for WBCSSC exam. Some of the students of this department are preparing themselves for M.Phil and Ph.D degree. This department has achieved excellent reputation in Chapra Bangaljhi Mahavidyalaya and university of Kalyani.
