About the Department

The Department of Physical Education started its journey in the academic session 2003-2004 with forty students and one teacher. Since its inception the department has always remained proactive in every sphere of academic studies. This department has some specific mission, vision, aim and objectives which distinguish it from others in the college and elsewhere. Many students have successfully obtained their degree from this department and completed their BPED and MPED degree and are successfully placed in different areas of society. One of our students is presently pursuing PHD from Kalyani University. The college is generous enough to even recruit three of our passed out students as faculty member. Besides many passed out students from our department are teachers in different schools, thereby carrying on the values imparted to them to from our institution. Especially in the fields of games and sports the students of this department has reached new heights bringing glory to the college and the department. Many of our students are successful sports person in district, state and national level. Our students also take active participation in the NSS unit of our college, arranging different socially productive works such as blood donation camp, social awareness programmes, eye treatment camp and many more. We are pledged to carry on the legacy of the department to further new heights and thus bring glory to our institution.
