About the Department

The department of history is one of the leading departments of Chapra Bangaljhi Mahavidyalaya. The room allotted for this department was constructed with the fund of local M.L.A. Sri Rukbanur Rahaman. Initially the department started with only general course. In 2009 the department started honours course with 40 students. At present the seats allotted for honours course is 63. Three faculty members Azad Ali Shaikh, Dipanjan Dey and Nazma Khanam have been working heartily for the progress of the department. Students of this department have raised the reputation of the institution with their excellence in university examination.
